About the course

The Fire Marshal / Warden Training is an excellent resource for the training of persons nominated as fire marshals/ wardens within an organisation.

It is estimated that there are over 20,000 workplace fires every year. Fire Marshal duties are key to keeping your premises, employees and customers safe – and having a Fire Warden is considered the best way to ensure a safe and effective evacuation.

A well-trained Fire Marshal (or Fire Warden) can also have a proactive and preventative role, by identifying potential hazards and risks and helping to ensure that the workplace is a safe place.

Developed with Fire Safety experts, our Fire Marshal/Warden e-learning course helps those nominated to undertake the role to understand how fires start, how they spread, the need for good housekeeping and what to do in the event of an emergency.

Aims of the course

The course aims to ensure the trainee understands what the role of a Fire Marshal or Fire Warden involves and the basic actions that can be taken to prevent fires occurring. The course will demonstrate the role you will have in implementing a fire safety management plan and the importance of good housekeeping. By taking this course the learner will be able to identify typical causes of fire and recognise the different types of fire-fighting equipment and when they should be used. They will also understand the “do’s and don’ts” of a safe evacuation and be able to carry out a clean sweep of an allocated area.

Who is it for?

The course has been developed for all levels of employees in an organisation who have been nominated to undertake the responsibilities of a Fire Marshal or Warden.

Fire Marshal / Warden Training Certificate

Our e-learning courses use formal and informal assessment methods to check learner understanding and measure the transfer and retention of knowledge and skills. Upon successful completion of a formal assessment (achieving the pass mark or above), a certificate is awarded to the learner in recognition of their achievement.

Digital certificate – print, download, store

A digital certificate can be downloaded and / or printed. Users may prefer the ‘paper-less’ option that automatically updates their digital learning record, stored in the cloud. Records contain details of sessions including progress, attempts and results – stored on our platform or the client’s Learning Management System (LMS).

Learning records are available 24/7 to review sessions, learner progress as well as provide access to certificates. This information is ideal for recording learning activity centrally including any associated CPD. Various reports demonstrate proof of planned and recorded learning activities. This assists with the management of compliance as well as pathways for achieving competence and behavioural change.

About the certificate

The e-learning certificate includes a unique Certificate ID specific to that learner, learner’s name, course title, the score percent mark achieved along with the date of completion and the marks of the approval, accreditation authorities and / or distribution partners.

Please note: when accessing the course via standalone media or 3rd party systems, you may need to follow separate ‘in-house’ steps for logging learning activity appropriate to that method of delivery.
