What training do you offer and do you have the right course(s) for me?

REALSENSE has a course library of over 120+ ready-to-go online learning courses aimed at supporting in the workplace. These e-learning courses cover many popular compliance and competence-based topics associated with Corporate Governance, Business and Soft Skills, Employment and HR, Environment, Financial Services, Health, Safety and Wellbeing as well as Social Care.

We have courses for people in varying job roles and with different levels of competence e.g. basic awareness, standard courses for all employees as well as courses for managers or those with specific job roles e.g. food safety for catering, manufacturing or sector-specific courses for teachers, financial services managers, care workers etc.

We have a blended approach to learning, using adaptive learning methodologies that comprise interactive multimedia learning, video-based learning, assessment-led learning as well as 360 VR and more.

As well as being able to swiftly customise our ready-to-go courses to incorporate your brand, training policies and procedures, our highly skilled team of instructional designers, authors, graphics / media developers and programmers can build engaging new learning resources from the ground up.

How are your online e-learning courses delivered?

Our courses are delivered via Activbase, our own web-based learning management system (LMS). Our courses can be accessed on any mobile, tablet, laptop or desktop device through a standard web browser, at any time, simply by logging into your Activbase account.

Our popular courses conform to SCORM/AICC e-learning standards so will also work on an industry standard Learning Management System (LMS).

In addition to the above standard ready-to-go courses, we also produce bespoke learning solutions that, depending upon customer requirements, may require connectivity with additional hardware and software.

This may involve support for Augmented Reality, 360 VR and Virtual Reality e.g. Oculus, as well as Voice Activated / Recognition systems and more.

Will I need to download any special software or apps to use your training?

When you purchase one or more courses via our website, you will automatically be registered on our web-based learning management system Activbase where your courses will be instantly available.

If you are an organization wishing to roll-out training to multiple users then you can quickly create user accounts for all your learners (either individually, bulk import or synchronize with a 3rd party HR system) so there is no need for any special software or app.

Our courses are accessible on any device simply by logging into your Activbase account.

Do you deliver courses in person?

We do not currently deliver our courses in person as all our digital learning solutions are accessible via mobile, tablet, laptop and desktop.

Our aim is to provide a high standard of learning that can be completed at a pace, time and place to suit the learner.

We achieve this by working with subject matter experts, combining good instructional design, applying the most appropriate learning technology with rich interactive multimedia – ideal for organisations seeking good quality learning that is rich with engaging content whilst being a good cost-effective alternative to expensive classroom-based training.

However, e-learning is not always the right fit for everyone and we recognise that organisations do have varying training needs, some of which can be fulfilled with a blended learning approach.

Our large portfolio of approved and accredited learning courses has been produced in collaboration with a number of topic experts and training consultants so if you do have face to face training requirements then we can arrange instructor led training or consultancy in person (or remotely) to help fulfil your learning and development needs.

How much do your courses cost?

Our courses vary in price, ranging from approximately £25 per user per year for most of our standard courses up to £125 per user per year for some of the larger advanced courses.

We offer discounts for larger volume purchases and additional % discounts when signing up to multi-year plans. Depending on the quantity of courses required, volumes of users and length of term, organisations can benefit from huge cost savings with training courses being provided for as little as £5 per person per year.

What if I would like to add or change some of the content to suit some specific organisation requirements?

We can swiftly customize courses to suit specific training needs of our customers if required. We also provide bespoke e-learning solutions and are happy to work with you to find the right online training solution for your organisation.

We pride ourselves on delivering high quality learning but we need your feedback in order to do that. As part of our approach to quality improvement, we always invite and encourage constructive customer feedback at all stages of our lifecycle.

Purchasing Courses

How do I purchase your courses?

You can see our full training course library here.

Each course provides you with a ‘Buy Now’ purchase button as well as a link to Pricing Information which gives details about multi-year subscription and volume discounts.

How many people can use the training course I purchase?

One single product purchase is for one user ‘licence’, allowing one user access to one training course. Multiple user licences are available, with discounts for purchases of more than 10 licences.

Please let us know your requirements as we have flexible and scalable solutions for you that will enable you to train your entire workforce.

Do you offer discounts on bulk purchases?

For orders of over 10+ licences, discounts will be automatically calculated in the website basket on a sliding scale – the more you buy, the larger the discount.

For larger volume orders of over 100+licences or those containing combinations of products, we can help create the right tailored package for you – please call our team on 01332 208500.

How do I pay you for training?

You can make a secure online payment through our website which uses a number of industry-recognised online payment providers such as Stripe, PayPal etc.

Using Our Courses

What should I do if I experience technical issues whilst trying to take an online course?
Our learning platform, Activbase comes complete with easy-to-follow user instructions to help get you started.

If you experience any technical difficulties when trying to take an online course then our friendly and helpful team are just a phone call away on 01332 208500.

I’ve forgotten my password, what should I do?

You can request a password reset through our learning platform, Activbase on the login screen.

Alternatively, you can contact the system administrator within your organisation or call our support team on 01332 208200 and they will have you back up and running within minutes.

Are there any minimum PC or Mac spec requirements needed to take part in your online training?

Our courses are designed to operate on industry standard multimedia PC compatible computers / laptops and or mobile devices with a suitable processor e.g. 2.0GHz Intel or AMD Processor, 4GB RAM or higher. A good reliable internet connection is required of at least 3Mb+/sec.

Windows: Internet Explorer 11, Microsoft Edge (latest version), Google Chrome (latest version), Firefox (latest version)

Mac: Safari (latest version), Google Chrome (latest version), Firefox (latest version)

Mobile: Safari in Apple iOS 10 or later, Google Chrome in Apple iOS 10 or later, Google Chrome in Android OS 4.4 or later

Is there a time limit to complete my course?
Customers purchasing a product will have unlimited access to the Activbase platform for the full duration of the subscription term from the date of purchase.

For example, if your subscription is for 12 months, then you will have 12 months in which to complete your course.

For organisations that have not used all their licences by the end of the subscription term, talk to us and we will be happy to work with you to ensure you maximise your investment in a flexible and fair manner.

How do I provide feedback after I complete my training?

Upon completion of your course, you may be asked to provide a ‘star rating’ and a short review where appropriate. This helps us provide users with reliable, real-time feedback about our courses and ensure that we are meeting our customer’s needs.

Can I still access a course once I have completed it?
You will be able to access a course for the full duration of your licence subscription period, even after completing the course.

Assessments and Certificates

Does your training provide recognised certification upon completion?

A digital certificate can be downloaded and/or printed upon completion of a course. Some users prefer the paperless option that automatically updates their digital learning record and is stored in the cloud.

A certificate includes a unique Certificate ID specific to the learner and includes the learner’s name, the course title, the percentage pass mark and the date of completion.

On the certificate you will also find the logos of approval, accreditation authorities and/or distribution partners.

How do you determine a course pass?

Most courses conclude with a multiple-choice assessment of randomly generated questions.

Courses require at least a 70% pass rate. If this score is not achieved, users will be given the opportunity to review the course and attempt the assessment again.

If, after three attempts, the pass rate has not been achieved, the course will be locked subject to review by your organisation administrator or a member of the REALSENSE support team.

Are your courses accredited?

Most of our courses are accredited by various authorities / approval bodies applicable to the course such as CPD, RoSPA or IIRSM.

Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any specific standard / approval requirements.

Can I download my course certificate?

A digital certificate can be downloaded and/or printed upon completion of a course. Some users prefer the paperless option that automatically updates their digital learning record and is stored in the cloud.

What if I fail my course?

If you do not achieve the pass rate for the course, you will be given the opportunity to review the course and attempt the assessment again.

If you are unsuccessful on a third occasion, the course will be locked, subject to a review by your company administrator or a member of the REALSENSE support team.

I’ve lost my certificate, what should I do?

A digital version of your certificate is stored in the cloud. You can access and redownload this via your user account.

Do you have any training courses that will count towards my CPD?

Yes, some of our courses are CPD approved. CPD units / hours are specified on the product launch page of our Activbase platform.

Bespoke Training Courses

Do you create bespoke courses?

Yes, the REALSENSE team have been designing and developing bespoke e-learning solutions for over 20 years. Whether you are looking to customise one of our existing generic courses with branding, specific learning content such as policies and procedures relating to your organization, or if you have your own existing training materials you would like us to evolve / convert or if you are simply wanting to create new learning resources from the ground up, we are here to help.

We can provide a full end-to-end bespoke development service or support you and your team with different elements of it depending on your requirements, skills, capabilities and budget.

Our team have a multitude of skills and expertise including instructional design, authoring, creative media, programming and testing so we do not consider any job to be too big or too small for us.

How long will it take for you to develop my bespoke training course?

The phrase “How long is a piece of string?” can be a common response to that question by many providers. So, to provide a simple but more helpful answer, there are some key influencing factors: the amount of learning content required, what pre-existing customer materials are available / usable, the level of treatment required, the type of media required e.g. audio, video along with any additional requirements that may affect delivery e.g. accessibility, format, specific devices to consider etc.

Whilst some projects can be very swift, from experience we would recommend allocating 4 to 8 weeks as a sensible average timeframe for producing 1 hour of good quality online learning.

This can vary depending on how proactive / prepared a customer is when gathering any of their own internal subject matter expertise and materials.
Our quality approach to the production lifecycle covers analysis, design, development, review, testing and delivery and involves our customers at every step of the way to ensure the solution meets their expectations.

Do you deliver bespoke courses for clients outside the UK?

Yes, we deliver to organisations around the globe and are currently providing our learning in over 40 different countries.

We can provide multi-lingual content and our learning platform can be used for the effective administration, distribution, tracking and management of multi-lingual courses to multiple sites across multiple segments on a national and international scale.

On the certificate you will also find the logos of approval, accreditation authorities and/or distribution partners.

Data Protection

How do you protect my personal information?

REALSENSE takes the protection and management of your personal information very seriously. As a UK based business our handling of your information is controlled by the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and the Data Protection, Privacy and Electronic Communications (Amendments etc) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019.

We take great care to protect your personal information or anything which might identify you personally.

Who do you share my information with?

We only share your personally identifiable information with third parties not already covered by our privacy notice if:

  • You agree to us sharing this information
  • We are required to as part of ‘legal action’ involving a customer who has breached our user agreement and or if requested by law
  • REALSENSE and / or the services it provides are sold, assigned or transferred all or in part to the acquirer as part of the process
  • They are providing services to REALSENSE. Such third parties are limited in their rights to use such information only for the provision of these services to REALSENSE.
  • They are a specific partner, reseller, distributor involved in the solution you have purchased who are required to protect your personally identifiable information similar to our privacy policy.
What happens to my data if I no longer use the REALSENSE platform or its courses?

Where there is a legal obligation to retain your information for a certain period of time, we will do so in order to comply with the legal requirement.

Statutory retention periods do vary for different types of record so we retain records for at least 6 years providing you with the audit trail / evidence you may need in case of any legal action.

Our online learning platform, Activbase, will store and retain learner record data for the duration of your agreement and for a period of at least 6 years after the expiry date of your platform end date.

At this point, when your data is no longer required it will be deleted, if it is possible to do so. If it is not technically possible to delete the data then sufficient controls will be put in place to ensure it can no longer be used.
