You’ll learn about potential risk factors for domestic abuse and the reasons behind the rise in cases of domestic abuse and violence during and since the Covid-19 pandemic.

The law around domestic abuse is introduced and you’ll find out about the role of the police and the legislation relating to domestic abuse and violence. The most recent Domestic Abuse Bill of 2020 is specifically looked at as well as The Domestic Abuse Disclosure Scheme (Clare’s Law), Domestic Violence Protection Orders and Domestic Violence Protection Notices.
