Our core module, LGBTQIA+ Awareness Course covers the wider LGBTQIA+ community explaining key terminology, challenges and the law, how to be an ally and the steps you can take to promote inclusivity. About the LGBTQIA+ Online Course Bundle
The LGBTQIA+ Awareness Training course was developed to provide the tools and skills to create a fully inclusive environment, whether at work, in the local community or beyond.
The LGBTQIA+ E-Learning Course Bundle provides a more in-depth look depth look at some of the individual identities represented under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella and helps explain how to support diversity and promote inclusivity. The courses provide greater detail to help ensure that learners can develop a more thorough understanding of LGBTQIA+ communities, raise awareness, recognise the importance of understanding and respecting one another and provide support for people through allyship programmes.
Aims of the LGBTQIA+ Course Bundle
The aim of this LGBTQIA+ online learning is to support allyship by providing an understanding of some of the important issues facing the LGBTQIA+ community in the UK today.

The LGBTQIA+ Awareness elearning Course is a comprehensive module aimed at increasing understanding and awareness of the LGBTQIA+ community as a whole, with an explanation of and introduction to the broad spectrum of gender identities and sexual orientation. It looks at key dates and events from LGBTQIA+ history and the changing attitudes towards gender and sexuality, concluding with a chapter on LGBTQIA+ culture and community today. The module explores some of the challenges still faced by LGBTQIA+ people and how discrimination and prejudice occur. It also looks at how to help foster inclusivity and combat discrimination, and what it means to be an LGBTQIA+ Ally, including practical tips and guidance.
2Lesbian and Gay Awareness Course
The Lesbian and Gay Awareness elearning course provides a deeper look at the lesbian and gay community, their experiences and challenges. It takes a deeper look at lesbian and gay history and culture, including activism and advocacy for and within this community. The content also explores some of the challenges still faced by lesbian and gay people today, including inequity and discrimination, and its impact on the health and wellbeing of the individual. It looks at language and terminology, and at the role and importance of allyship, including tips and guidance for fostering inclusivity and support in the workplace and beyond.
3Bi+ Awareness Course
The Bi+ Awareness elearning course provides a deeper look at the Bi+ community and how to be a Bi+ Ally. It includes an exploration and explanation of the different sexual orientations encompassed within this community, including bisexuality, pansexuality, fluid, and queer. It looks at Bi+ history, language, culture, and community today. The course also explores some of the common misconceptions of bisexuality, and sheds light on the challenges still faced by Bi+ people. It explains how and where biphobia, bi-erasure and discrimination occur both within and outside of the LGBTQIA+ community. It also looks at how to be a Bi+ Ally, including practical tips and guidance.
4Asexual and Aromantic Awareness Course
This Asexual and Aromantic Awareness elearning course provides a deeper look at what it means to be asexual and aromantic in today’s society. It looks at the spectrum of different orientations represented by these terms and how individuals within this community will all experience their asexuality and aromanticism in different ways and to different degrees. It looks at ace and aro history and culture, and the growing advocacy and activism for this often-unseen community. The module highlights some of the assumptions and misconceptions that people make about ace and aro people and their relationships, and explores some of the challenges faced by Ace and Aro people, explaining how and where stigma and discrimination occur. It also looks at how to be an Ace and Aro Ally, including practical tips and guidance.
5Intersex Awareness Course
This Intersex Awareness elearning course provides a deeper look at what it means to be intersex. Intersex is the general term that refers to individuals who are born with physical or genetic variations that do not fit typical or societal definitions of male or female. The module looks at the history of this community, challenges some of the common misconceptions that people have about intersex individuals and their lived experiences and explains at some of the issues faced by intersex individuals today. The module also explores the growing understanding and awareness of this community, its activists and advocates, and what it means to be an Intersex ally.
6Trans and Non-Binary Awareness Course
This Trans and Non-Binary Awareness elearning course looks more closely at trans and non-binary identities. It explores what we mean by trans and non-binary, and provides an explanation of key terminology and language used. The module looks at the history and culture of this community and explores the lived experience of this community today, including the challenges and discrimination often experienced.
It is important to note that the focus of this course is on the adult demographic and experience, in alignment with our aims of supporting workplace allyship initiatives.

How is it delivered?
Modules are delivered via our online learning platform, Activbase or available in alternative formats for use on a customer’s own Learning Management System (LMS). Once payment has been received, you will be sent an email from RealSense confirming your purchase followed by a separate email from our Activbase Learning Platform with details on how to access your course(s). Access is available 24/7 for the duration of your license. Customers requiring a different course format e.g. SCORM for use on their own LMS, please contact us with your requirements.

Upon successful completion, a certificate of achievement is available and or automatically added to a learner’s digital record.
Digital certificate(s) – print, download, store
A certificate includes the learner’s name, course title, completion score / result, completion date and any marks of approval, accreditation authorities, and or distribution partners. It can be downloaded, stored or printed.
Learning records
When using our platform Activbase, learning records are available 24/7 for review, tracking progress and access to certificates. Records contain details of sessions including progress, attempts and results. This and additional data such as associated CPD, standards and qualifications are logged and available for information insights and management reporting – a powerful resource for tracking compliance as well as monitoring learning pathways.
Please note: when accessing the course via standalone media or 3rd party systems, you will need to check those systems log learning activity appropriate to your training needs.

Q: I have forgotten my password, what should I do?
A: If you have forgotten or lost your Activbase password, you can request a password reset through our learning platform, Activbase.
Records and certificates - Is the course accredited? What if i fail? Can I download my certificate?
Q: Is the course accredited?
Most of our courses are accredited by relevant authorities / approval bodies applicable to the course such as CPD, RoSPA or IIRSM. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any specific standard / approval requirements.
Q: Will I get a certificate?
All courses come with a certificate of achievement in recognition of completing the course successfully. A digital record is stored with each learner’s history and certificates are available for access and download.
Q: What if I fail my course?
If you do not achieve the pass rate for the course then you will be given the opportunity to review the training content and attempt the assessment again. With some of the video based courses, the course may be locked on a third failed attempt, subject to a review by your organisation administrator of a member of the RealSense support team.
