About the course

This Modern Slavery Awareness Training is an e-learning course that will help all businesses train their staff about the key elements of the Act and provide in-depth information on how to help combat this growing issue.
Although many people consider slavery to be something that only exists overseas, modern contemporary slavery is an issue that is happening with increasing frequency closer to home. Current research estimates that tens of thousands of people are in some form of modern slavery in the UK today, with the number of reported incidents growing year on year.

Since the introduction of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, every large company is required to publish an annual statement indicating the steps that they have made to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in the business itself or anywhere in its supply chain.  As many small organisations form part of the supply chain of these larger companies, it is likely to be equally important for them to demonstrate the same steps and awareness to continue doing business with them.

Aims of the course

The aim of the course is to help inform all staff about the growing issue of modern slavery and teach about the responsibility that businesses of all sizes have to ensure that they maintain an ethical supply chain and help eradicate slavery both in the UK and overseas.

By the end of this course learners will:

  • Have an increased awareness about the issue of Modern Slavery
  • Understand the key messages of the Modern Slavery Act
  • Know what to do should they suspect violations of the Act are occurring

Who is it for?

This course is for anyone who is in business in the UK and wishes to ensure business compliance and good ethical working practices.

Modern Slavery Awareness Training Certificate

Our e-learning courses use formal and informal assessment methods to check learner understanding and measure the transfer and retention of knowledge and skills. Upon successful completion of a formal assessment (achieving the pass mark or above), a certificate is awarded to the learner in recognition of their achievement.

Digital certificate – print, download, store

A digital certificate can be downloaded and / or printed. Users may prefer the ‘paper-less’ option that automatically updates their digital learning record, stored in the cloud. Records contain details of sessions including progress, attempts and results – stored on our platform or the client’s Learning Management System (LMS).

Learning records are available 24/7 to review sessions, learner progress as well as provide access to certificates. This information is ideal for recording learning activity centrally including any associated CPD. Various reports demonstrate proof of planned and recorded learning activities. This assists with the management of compliance as well as pathways for achieving competence and behavioural change.

About the certificate

The e-learning certificate includes a unique Certificate ID specific to that learner, learner’s name, course title, the score percent mark achieved along with the date of completion and the marks of the approval, accreditation authorities and / or distribution partners.

Please note: when accessing the course via standalone media or 3rd party systems, you may need to follow separate ‘in-house’ steps for logging learning activity appropriate to that method of delivery.
